This is 1 I make ahead of time and when I'm close to dinner I'll top w/ the enchilada sauce and cheese and pop it in the oven. Normally make it during nap time and then do it for dinner that night. I've never let it sit for more than a couple hours so I'm not sure how well it would hold up for longer than that. If you're making it ahead of time preheating the oven isn't the first step but hopefully that's 1 you could figure out on your own.
Obvs, you can swap out the ground turkey for beef or chicken, the meat doesn't matter that much so whatevs you've got laying around or feel like. Do you.
